Head Dishwasher

In this role, you will oversee the daily cleaning operations of the hotel kitchen, manage the dishwashing staff, ensure strict compliance with sanitation standards, and keep track of kitchen inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and schedule the dishwashing/stewarding team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Oversee the washing of dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans, ensuring they meet hotel hygiene standards.

  • Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and kitchen operating equipment (breakage tracking).

  • Ensure all dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment are properly operated, maintained, and safely stored.

  • Enforce kitchen safety, sanitation, and waste disposal rules among the team.

Qualifications

  • At least a High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a dishwasher or kitchen steward in a hotel or large restaurant setup, with some leadership or senior experience.

  • Strong knowledge of kitchen sanitation practices, chemical safety, and dishwashing equipment.

  • Good communication and leadership skills to manage a team.

  • Physically fit, with the ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy lifting.
