Pollution Control Officer
Job Description:
Ensure compliance with local environmental laws, permits, and regulations
Secure and maintain necessary environmental permits and clearances
Liaise with government agencies and inspectors
Implement measures to control dust, emissions, and runoff
Conduct regular environmental inspections and audits
Develop and enforce proper waste segregation and disposal practices
Coordinate with accredited waste haulers and treatment facilities
Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory authorities
Coordination & Support
Work closely with project managers, safety officers, and engineers
Support implementation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or any related field
Accredited/Certified Pollution Control Officer (as required by local regulations)
Knowledge of environmental laws, standards, and compliance procedures
Experience in construction or industrial projects is an advantage
Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
