Job Summary

The AVP (Construction Overall Head) will lead and oversee all construction operations for large-scale residential mass housing projects. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of housing developments, aligning with corporate objectives and regulatory standards. The AVP will act as the strategic driver of construction execution, resource management, and stakeholder coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the execution of construction plans, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.

  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.

  • Prepare reports on progress of projects, inventory levels, costs, or performance data to keep management informed of project status.

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations of construction department.

  • Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.

  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity.

  • Requisition supplies, materials and contractors/sub-contractors to complete construction projects.

  • Select type of construction equipment and machinery, and determine quantity and size needed to complete job assignments.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; Licensed

  • With 15+ years of relevant experience in construction management for Mass Housing (Horizontal and Vertical)

  • With at least 8-10 years in a managerial-level position

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera

  • With strong leadership and communication skills

  • Good decision-making, problem-solving skills

  • Good budgeting skills
