Job Description
We’re looking for a Data Analytics Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and operational excellence of our analytics function. This role ensures reporting and dashboards are reliable, data processes run smoothly, stakeholders get what they need on time, and the analytics team operates with clear standards, documentation, and measurable performance.
You’ll work closely with business leaders, analysts, data engineers, and product/engineering teams to improve data delivery, quality, governance, and analytics workflows across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Operations & Delivery
Manage analytics operations to ensure timely, accurate delivery of dashboards, reports, and recurring insights.
Own the analytics intake process (requests, prioritization, SLAs, and stakeholder expectations).
Maintain and improve analytics workflows (reporting cycles, QA checks, documentation, release process).
Data Quality & Governance
Define and enforce data quality standards (validation, monitoring, anomaly detection, and root-cause triage).
Partner with data engineering to ensure reliable pipelines and well-defined data models.
Establish governance practices: metric definitions, source-of-truth tables, and reporting consistency.
Team Enablement
Support analysts by removing blockers, improving processes, and ensuring clear requirements.
Drive standard templates for reporting, KPI definitions, and analysis write-ups.
Coordinate training and adoption for BI tools and dashboards across teams.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the main point of contact for analytics operations, aligning priorities with business needs.
Translate business questions into clear analytics requirements.
Communicate progress, risks, and timelines clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Track team KPIs (cycle time, request throughput, report accuracy, stakeholder satisfaction).
Identify recurring inefficiencies and implement scalable fixes (automation, tooling, process changes).
Ensure proper documentation for processes, data sources, and dashboards.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years in analytics/data science/analytics engineering
3+ years leading a team (data/operations preferred)
Computer-vision pipeline familiarity (video counting/QA)
Strong understanding of analytics workflows: dashboards, reporting, metrics, data pipelines, QA
Transportation/traffic domain experience; client-facing delivery with public agencies
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent organization, time management, and written/verbal English communication.
Confident decision-maker with strong ownership and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple projects and perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
