Facilities Engineer – Mechanical

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer (Licensed Mechanical Engineer) to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of building systems for a mixed-use property. This role ensures all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and support systems operate reliably to meet tenant needs and maintain business continuity in a 24/7 environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Manage day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance of building equipment (HVAC, electrical, generators, UPS, elevators, fire protection systems, sewage treatment plant, etc).

  • Prepare and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal performance and longevity of all building systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Monitor building performance, utilities consumption, and implement energy efficiency initiatives.

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and projects.

  • Support tenant fit-out, move-in, and operational requirements, particularly for BPO operations requiring continuous uptime.

  • Lead troubleshooting and respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.

  • Prepare reports, maintenance schedules, and documentation for audits and inspections.

  • Willing to take on roles as Pollution Control Officer (PCO) or Safety Officer (SO) when designated.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer.

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in malls, commercial buildings, or BPO environments. fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, including CAPEX and OPEX, ensuring cost efficiency and proper allocation of resources.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and safety/environmental regulations.

  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule to support 24/7 operations.

  • Willing to be assigned as Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and Safety Officer (SO).

  • PCO and Safety Officer training/certification is an advantage.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-tenant environment.

 

This role is ideal for an adaptable engineer with strong technical expertise and coordination skills, capable of ensuring seamless facility operations in a dynamic commercial setting.
