Australian Green Solution (AGS) is a Victorian-based renewable-energy retailer delivering hot water, air conditioning, solar PV, and battery installations under Solar Victoria's Solar Homes program and the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) scheme. We are investing in a dedicated Desk Audit Quality Assurance team — based in the Philippines — to lift our compliance standards above the industry baseline and protect the homeowners we install for.

The role

As a Desk Audit QA Engineer, you'll review the installation evidence packs submitted by AGS's Australian field installers — documents, paperwork, certificates of compliance, single-line diagrams, manufacturer serials — and assess each one against the relevant Australian Standards and Solar Victoria audit checklists.

You'll classify each finding (Unsafe / Needs Rectification / Improvements Identified / Adequate), cite the standard clause, and write a clear rectification note that goes back to the installer. This is a desk-based role — no site visits — and you'll work Australian Eastern hours (approximately 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Manila time).

What you'll be doing

•      Auditing hot water installations (gas, electric, heat-pump, and solar thermal) against AS/NZS 3500.4:2021 and Solar Victoria's HW Audit Checklist v3.2.

•      Auditing air conditioning installations (split systems and reverse-cycle heat pumps) against MEPS energy-rating and Victorian Energy Upgrades requirements.

•      Auditing solar PV installations against AS/NZS 3000:2018, AS/NZS 4777.1:2024, AS/NZS 5033:2021 and Solar Victoria's PV Audit Checklist v3.5.

•      Auditing battery / BESS installations against AS/NZS 5139:2019.

•      Identifying staged, duplicated, photoshopped, or geotag-mismatched evidence.

•      Writing professional rectification notes for Australian installers and field supervisors.

•      Reporting trend data weekly to the Australian QA Manager.

•      Participating in daily handovers with the AGS Australian team.

Who we're looking for

We are hiring across three engineering backgrounds. Each owns a different stream of the work, and you'll be matched to the stream where you're strongest:

Licensed BS Mechanical Engineering, preferred with a Master plumber background or HVAC-R / refrigeration experience

•      You'll own the Hot Water system and HVAC system remote quality assurance desk audit;

•      Fluent with plumbing code, TPR valves, tempering / TMV valves, backflow prevention, and water-supply pressure.

•      Comfortable with split-system and heat-pump mounting, refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage, and MEPS verification.

•      ME board passer preferred. al.

Licensed BS Electrical or Electronics Engineering

•      You'll own Solar PV and Battery audits, and the electrical-connection items across HW and AC.

•      Confident reading single-line diagrams and familiar with isolators, RCDs, inverters, MPPTs, and battery system safety.

•      REE / ECE board passer preferred. Residential electrical contracting experience preferred over industrial / power-transmission backgrounds.

What you'll need (all profiles)

•      Bachelor's degree in Sanitary, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

•      2-5 years' relevant experience — QA/QC, EPC, contracting, installer / supervisor field experience, or technical desk audit.

•      Excellent written English — your notes are read by Australian installers, supervisors and regulators.

•      Reliable home internet (minimum 25 Mbps), backup connection, and a quiet WFH workspace.

•      Comfortable working Australian Eastern business hours (approx. 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Manila time).

Nice to have

•      PRC licence (Sanitary Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, REE, ECE) or Master Plumber certification.

•      Familiarity with AS/NZS 3500.4, 3000, 4777, 5033, 5139 — or the equivalent Philippine Plumbing / Electrical Code clauses (we'll train you on the Australian standards).

•      Prior experience in Australian solar or hot water (CEC accreditation, STC paperwork, Solar Victoria, VEU).

•      Photo-evidence scrutiny experience.

•      AutoCAD, Helioscope, or PVsyst familiarity.
