Food Technologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops new concepts, products, and flavors for presentation to management and clients
Improves existing formulation and processes for the benefit of the company and satisfaction of customers
Performs inspection, physicochemical analysis, and sensory evaluation of incoming raw materials and packaging materials
Monitors and verifies in-line production by checking ingredients or raw material preparation and process parameters in the production line
Conducts finished product validation through physicochemical analysis
Ensures the implementation of GMP in the production area
Conducts food safety and quality related audits from time to time
Ensures the safety, legality, and quality of the products developed or produced
Ensures all food safety manuals, certifications, and registrations are valid or updated
Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly technical and non-technical reports stating all occurrences during production
Qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related courses
With basic knowledge in Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
With good communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Must be knowledgeable with computer and MS Office applications
Can work with minimal supervision
With relevant work experience in a food manufacturing industry is an advantage
