Civil Engineer
Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising the development and maintenance of critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. The role involves conducting site investigations, preparing technical drawings using CAD software, managing project budgets and risks, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and Development
Prepare blueprints, technical designs, and drawings for infrastructure and building projects
Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools for accurate design work
Ensure designs comply with project specifications and industry standards
2. Project Management
Oversee construction activities on-site to ensure proper execution of plans
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
3. Installation and Maintenance
Supervise installation works and ensure quality execution
Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
Ensure all equipment, structures, and systems operate efficiently and safely
4. Compliance and Documentation
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and project records
Prepare progress reports and submit required project documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred but not required
Minimum of 1 year of civil engineering experience (fresh graduates may be considered depending on competency)
Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
