Project Development Engineer
POSITION PURPOSE
The Project Development Engineer is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of the assigned projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage the acquisition of all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications required for project development, construction, operation.
Prepare comprehensive project reports, including progress, environmental, financial, technical, and safety updates, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review various project related documents such as, but not limited to: Anaplan, presentations, feasibility studies, industry analyses, market reports, project/tasks implementation schedules, plans and communications.
Drive the identification and development of new power project opportunities, including greenfield project development, project acquisitions and investments, and project prime/sub-contracting.
Support site selection, conduct resource assessment activities and technical feasibility analysis for wind, solar, and hydropower projects and subsequently prepare detailed reports.
Establish, manage and maintain good relations with national/local authorities, project partners/proponents, host communities and other stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations, policies, and standards affecting the power business in the Philippines, including proposed industry rules and laws.
Perform other project development support tasks as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Must possess at least Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Engineering or equivalent if with engineering background.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in power/renewable energy project development, preferably in international markets.
Proven track record of managing renewable energy projects from inception to financial close.
Experience working with regulatory bodies, permitting processes, and land acquisition.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, energy storage, hydro, etc.).
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Financial modeling and analytical skills, including knowledge of project financing structures.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including experience with PPAs and EPC agreements.
Strong experience or working knowledge in permitting processes and government coordination.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin) is a plus.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm; weekends off
Location: BGC, Taguig City
Note: Compensation depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.
