Purchasing Executive (Technical Buyer) (For Immediate Deployment)

About the role

This full-time Purchasing Executive (Technical Buyer) role at BEHN MEYER CHEMICALS (PHILIPPINES) INC.' is based in Pasig City Metro Manila. In this strategic position, you will be responsible for handling the procurement of technical materials and supplies to support the company's operations within the Water & Waste Engineering industry.

What you'll be doing

• Sourcing, negotiating and securing the best pricing and terms for the procurement of technical materials, equipment and supplies
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement
• Analysing market trends, supplier performance and pricing to identify opportunities for cost savings
• Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, operations and other teams to understand technical requirements and specifications
• Monitoring and managing inventory levels to avoid shortages and optimise storage and logistics
• Preparing and processing purchase orders, contracts and other procurement documentation
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and legal/regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a technical buyer or purchasing executive, preferably in the Water & Waste Engineering industry
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and requirements
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in using procurement and inventory management systems
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field
