Assistant Vessel Manager (Chief Vessel Engineer)
The Vessel Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe operation and technical reliability of the fleet, resolving acute technical issues, and implementing and monitoring technical and safety policies. They oversee maintenance schedules, manage fleet budgets, coach technical staff, and ensure compliance with statutory certifications while supporting project staff with vessel adjustments.

Description
- Ensure fleet safety and technical reliability.
- Resolve urgent technical issues within the fleet.
- Implement and monitor technical and safety policies.
- Manage maintenance schedules and vessel conditions.
- Provide project support for fleet adjustments.
- Prepare annual budgets and manage fleet-related costs.
- Coach staff on maintenance, safety, finance, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with fleet certifications.
Profile
- 10 years of relevant experience (Vessel Assistant Manager or Senior Technical Superintendent).
- Previous experience as Chief Engineer on a tanker.
- Bachelor's in Marine Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa.
