Financial Reporting and Analysis - SeaInsure

Job Description

• Responsible in performing the month-end financial statement closing process. Ensure transactions for the month are completely captured and recorded in the books such as, but not limited to, accounts for revenue and costs/expenses that needs to be accrued. Ensures prepayment amortization and FA depreciation are properly recorded
• Responsible to prepare, analyze, and report financial performance against key business metrics. Assess the processed accounting information in the system to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and operating effectiveness of the organization
• Engage in the financial activities of the Company for financial reporting and help management make financial decisions.
• Team up with other finance team members who do the billings, payments, revenue reconciliations and analysis of GL accounts. 
• Ensure that the billing and collection schedules are adhered to and vendor terms are maximized to support operation requirements.
• Will interface with department heads and other teams for the preparation of business review documents and other project-related documents; Respond to queries and issue concerning financial reporting and analysis (accounting) matters
• Prepare budget and regular forecast in conjunction with the requirements of the Company
• Liaise with external auditors during external audit. Monitor financial details and ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements
• Assist in the preparation of financial regulatory reporting such as, but not limited to, the annual statement, etc.
• Drive finance related ad-hoc reports and analysis for both internal and external use

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance /Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant is an advantage but not required
• Preferably with experience working in one of the Big 4 firms with the insurance industry as the main exposure; and/or a reputable Insurance company focusing on regulatory functions
• Minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience
• General knowledge, skills, and competencies in accounting principles and regulations related to the insurance industry
