Junior Electrical Engineer
About the role
Lunar Steel Corporation is seeking a talented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our steel rolling mill operation and across our diverse engineering projects, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting senior electrical engineers in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components ensuring adherence to safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness requirements
- Performing electrical calculations, circuit analysis, and system modelling to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Assists in overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions
- Recommends design modifications to eliminate machinery or system malfunctions
- Data analysis from inspection reports and preparing plans for electrical and equipment maintenance
- Participating in project planning, documentation, and reporting to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including specifications, manuals, and reports
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and systems
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, and PLC programming
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards
