Job Title: Accounting Reservations Clerk 

Position Overview:
The Accounting Clerk for Reservations Accounting plays a key role in managing the financial aspects of client reservations. This position ensures that all transactions related to client bookings, including adjustments, commissions, and fund transfers, are processed accurately and efficiently. The Accounting Clerk works closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transfer of Funds Requests: Review and process requests for the transfer of funds between reservations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Commission Processing: Update the Commission Recall spreadsheet daily with payments received, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
  • Travel Agent Commission: Perform quality checks and accurately process travel agent commissions within the internal booking system.
  • Booking Transfers & Adjustments: Manage the timely processing of booking transfers and adjustments, ensuring all requests are handled promptly upon receipt.
  • Supplier Information Management: Update and maintain supplier data in the Oracle ERP system to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
  • General Accounting Support: Perform other duties related to reservations accounting as assigned, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or payable, preferably in a reservations or travel-related environment.
    • A Bachelor’s degree or Vocational Graduate qualification is preferred. Open to undergraduates who have completed at least 1 year of college education.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency with PC and 10-key data entry by touch is required.
    • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
    • Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or Peachtree is preferred.
    • Experience with or willingness to learn internal software (e.g., Tropics) is required.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.
