Associate Collections Specialist
Job Title: Associate Collections Specialist
Work Setup & Schedule:
- Hybrid (2PM to 11PM)
What you’ll be doing:
- Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, prioritize collection activities, and escalate when required
- Monitor and recommend solutions related to credit and collection concerns to management
- Resolve complex issues/projects that require analysis and interpretation of policy, procedures and practices
- Cross functional interaction requires explanation of complex, technical issues to customers, internal staff such as sales, customer support, and other back-office teams
- Develop successful working relationships with both internal and external customers
- Negotiate payment plans that have been approved on an exception basis
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What will make you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in business-to-business receivables/collections required
- Previous experience in a SaaS environment strongly preferred
- Advanced PC skills, particularly MS Outlook, Excel and Word
- Experience using NetSuite, Salesforce, SAP or other ERP systems
- Ability to review AR accounting issues and provide recommendation to correct
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal professionally and timely with a variety of customer issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism at all times
- Advanced conflict resolution skills
