ABOUT THE ROLE
- The position will be based in Manila and will provide support to AWE (Australian Weighing Equipment Pty. Ltd) Head office in Sydney and other branches in Australia, as well as in Philippine ROHQ. Primary focused is to provide technical support in the area of Network administration, VMware virtualization, IP telephony, Business application system, and other software and hardware infrastructure. Will work with the IT Officer based in Manila and report to the IT Manager based in Australia. The main role will ensure that all systems are maintained, reliable, secure and have efficient IT infrastructure for the whole company operation. Also support and address IT related issues, needs and inquiries of both Manila and Australian users.
- Directly reporting to IT Manager
- The position is a full-time position and your normal weekly schedule shall be from Mondays to Friday from 06:30 AM to 03:00 PM (Philippine Time) and 05:30 AM to 02:00 PM (Philippine Time) during Daylight Saving Time in the Commonwealth of Australia.

RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Support
Handled IT support of local and overseas users
Handles requests for new user set-up or additions/ deletions of users
Resolving all issues co-workers have with their IT systems
VMware Virtualization
Experience in VMware vSphere administration installing, configuring, and maintaining VMs and ESXi in a clustered environment
Experience in VMware Connection Server, EUC
Server Administration
Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS,DHCP
Work on Windows, Office, Exchange 2019, On-Premises
Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam or similar
Have Knowledge in Ventra IP, PBX, SPAMWALL
Knowledgeable in Linux Server is a plus
Experience in Bitdefender Administration
Networking
Oversees/ maintains operability of network infrastructure;
Provides administrative, maintenance and troubleshooting support for all network hardware such as terminal servers, routers, switches, hubs, LAN cards, etc
Diagnoses and resolves network downtime or inaccessibility issues
Coordinates/ liaises with Internet service provider with regard to wireless internet access issues at the main office
Incident Management
Experience in handling P1 Issues, Outage and other related issue that is production Impacting
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Report, manage and resolve any potential cyber-attack issues from a system related prospective.
OTHER - IT RELATED DUTIES
Coordinates / liaises with all 3rd party suppliers, service providers and vendors with regard to the purchase of IT related equipment, software and services, the repair of IT related hardware if required or the resolution of ITO related problems and issues;
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the related field is required for this position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethics, initiative and trouble shooting skills
- Self-motivated and able to work quickly and efficiently without supervision
- Able to travel to Australia for 1 -3 months durations if required.
