Job Purpose:
Join our team as an Operations Auditor/Cost Accountant Assistant, where you will support the Operations Auditor and Cost Accountant in conducting financial and operational audits. Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance with company policies and enhancing internal control systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examine records, reports, and operational practices, documenting findings for presentation to the Operations Auditor/Cost Accountant.
  • Assist in evaluating the adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires.
  • Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommend new policies and procedures.
  • Perform special audit and control reports as directed.
  • Conduct periodic audits of Petty Cash Funds (PGMC, IPILAN & PGMC-CNEP).
  • Prepare comparisons of budgeted vs. actual disbursements.
  • Monitor cash advances and prepare CA confirmation letters.
  • Verify the accuracy of Daily Time Records (DTR) from foremen against biometrics (Minesite).
  • Review the current purchasing process to assess applicability and propose updates.
  • Monitor supplier price movements and seek better pricing options as applicable.
  • Control and monitor the head office stockroom.
  • Prepare GFNI Books.
  • Conduct year-end inventory verification of assets by comparing records against actual assets.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, Audit, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirements: 2-3 years of accounting or audit experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based setup, Monday through Friday, located in Parañaque City.
