Senior Service Engineer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1) Service and Customer Support - Main responsibility is to support HORIBA Group products and customers

  • Responsible for product maintenance and service technical support independently, and make sure the product returns to normal working condition
  • Responsible for dealing with customer service claims, and conducting product troubleshooting and repair work to maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Support product issue investigation to reach clear understanding of customer claim or report
  • Carry-out failure analysis on product failures, and report improvement proposals to the management
  • On-site commissioning, start-up, maintenance, and/or acceptance testing of analytical instruments.
  • Complete assigned work upon schedule and budget to a high level of quality.
  • Work on call when required.
  • Responsible for implementing the training plan developed by HORIBA Group and Singapore HQ service team
  • Carry out repairs, maintenance, assembly, and disassembly training to HORIBA distributors and end users.

 

2) Others

  • Gather valuable market information to support business development
  • Plan the creation/development of service support team
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

Education: •  Degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or related discipline.

Experience: At least more than 3 years of relevant experience required (Instrument troubleshooting and fault diagnosis experience/On-site maintenance experience).

  • Broad mechanical and/or electrical repair and maintenance capability
  • Have a good knowledge of understanding of analytical instruments. Comprehensive skill and knowledge of instrumentation theory, structure, failure analysis and repair
  • Experience in fault investigation, fault diagnosis and trouble shooting
  • Have Environmental instrument market experience and knowledge for the key product/system such as CEMS (Knowledge in Continuous Emission Monitoring System), AQMS (Ambient Quality Monitoring system), and WQMS (Water Quality Monitoring System), especially in gas analyzers will be an advantage
  • Proficient skill and knowledge of laboratory and/or industrial instrumentation
  • Knows how to read and interpret product catalog, instructions manual, and maintenance manual
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong customer service communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good command of English. Have excellent ability to listen, speak, read and write in English
  • Able to work on site for extended periods of time, including ability to work at remote customer sites
  • Preferably with valid driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Travel Required: May be up to 40% of time

Benefits: Base Salary commensurate with experience. One month fixed bonus, and additional variable bonus depends on performance.
