Shift Supervisor - Uncle John's GMA Coop, Timog Avenue
JOB SUMMARY:
In the absence of the store supervisor, a shift leader serves as a store’s second in command, supporting the store supervisor with day-to-day management and administrative functions including maintenance of inventory level, cash handling and all related reportorial works. They monitor employee compliance with operational standards, along with other department and company policies and practices.
Ensures compliance in basic cash handling procedure. Petty cash fund, change fund & cashier’s fund should be intact and documented always. Overhead bin and vault should be locked at all times.
Digital wallet, telco/airload balances and phone cards are properly accounted and endorsed to the incoming shift. High-valued items such as liquors & cigarettes should also be endorsed as well.
Ensures the availability of stocks, placing of orders according to your assigned category. Perform End Of Business Day (EOD) and sending of daily sales update to Operations Manager before 7am during weekends.
Knowledgeable in using the JDA system and other relative functions. Aware in creation of Return to Vendor (RTV) vouchers for Direct To Store Deliver (DSD) suppliers such as Gardenia, Marby, Selecta and Tube Ice.
Cut the terminal sales of mid-shift and secures cash sales for deposit.
Fill-out the endorsement logbook for the graveyard shift. Upload store’s daily deliverables such as pending repairs & maintenance, Fixed Asset Transfer (FAT) and other related reports.
Adhere to basic food safety standard to avoid food-related customer complaints from occuring. Reinforce customer service standards and ensure all employees are customer-centric.
Follows the standard delivery receiving procedure. Discrepancies must be noted and reported to DC thru email using provided email address and contact point persons.
Validates gondola assignment assigned per employee. Strictly implements compliance to operations standards in relation to Store Operations Excellence (SOE) Checklist.
Strictly enforces compliance to company policies and report non-compliance employees to HRD.
In-charge of the completeness and accuracy of store forms, documents and/or sharepoint folders of his/her assigned deliverable.
Make recommendations to store supervisor according to customer flow, service, Retail Trade Area (RTA) check, and sales trend of his/her assigned shift.
Monitors the progress of all programs, initiatives and promotions that would help generate sales. Monitor cost reduction items such as disposals, external & internal pilferages.
Safeguards company assets and properties by following control procedures. Reports equipment breakdown to minimize sales opportunity loss.
OTHERS: Perform other function that may be assigned from time to time which are directly and indirectly connected with Operations such as but not limited to , compliance with local and national regulations.
