Prospective Principal/Project: Emirates Telecommunications Corp. (ETISALAT)

Director IT Strategy & Architecture
(United Arab Emirates)

Responsibilities:

• Reviews and approves strategies related to the future IT direction of the application landscape and the technology infrastructure.
• Oversees definition of Etisalat-wide technology process standards and guidelines.
• Oversees IT Security standards definition.
• Provides professional guidance and support to subordinates in carrying out the assigned functions.
• Bears overall responsibility for managing and monitoring the overall activities & ongoing improvement of the IT Strategy & Architecture section
• Reviews and approves strategies related to the future technological direction of the application landscape, the IT infrastructure and the enterprise network infrastructure
• Oversees definition of Etisalat-wide technology process standards and guidelines to enable knowledge sharing
• Reports to and maintains ongoing dialogue with Director IT Planning & Coordination and other managers
• Manages, monitors and evaluates the section’s ongoing performance and quality of its output and services in close cooperation with respective key managers.
• Develops skilled resources that are able to produce high quality output and contributes to the performance of the IT department
• Oversees planning, prioritization and assignment of targets and tasks to entire section. Reviews allocation/ utilization of resources and section performance
• Understands IT trends / innovations, initiates necessary research studies and ensures usage of new IT solutions to the extent necessary
• Oversees and ensures definition of Etisalat-wide security strategy
• Oversees definition of Etisalat-wide IT-related standards and policies and ensures implementation
• Ensures compliance of enterprise architecture frameworks with relevant international standards (e.g. Zachman)

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Must be 28-42 years old
• 5 positions available.
