Finance Manager
Overall Job Purpose:
- To plan, manage, oversee the overall financial functions of the company pertaining to fund or cash management and the efficient and effective collection of revenue through treasury;
- To provide quality information to the management regarding its financial status for investment management decision making;
- To handle fund management and collection and liaise with banks and other financial institutions for credit and portfolio facilities; and
- To assist various business units in managing daily operational issues related to finance, internal controls and to meet the objectives set for the organization.
Job Description:
- Plans, manages, and oversees the finance department and its units such as cash management and treasury including cashiering operations.
- Ensures timely and quality financial reports being submitted to corporate and compliance of group accounting policies and all external reporting requirements. Monitor, track and review the assigned business unit’s KPI.
- Reviews internal controls and implement new procedures if necessary to safeguard company assets and to ensure all business transactions are being recorded in proper manner.
- Manages treasury and working capital for the assigned business units.
- Prepares the consolidated yearly budget and quarterly budget review for the assigned business units.
- Performs tax planning and reviews for the assigned business units.
- Develops the finance team to their fullest potential through training.
- Liaises with auditor and banker providing and interpreting financial information.
- Formulates strategic and long-term business plans.
- Researches and reports on factors influencing business performance.
- Analyses competitors and market trends.
- Develops financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
- Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Liaises with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
- Develops external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations.
- Arranges new sources of finance for the company's debt facilities.
- Keeps abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
