Friendster is currently seeking a Senior Web Application Product Manager with experience developing in a high-volume commercial/consumer web application. This position will be a member of the Engineering team and will participate in the continued development of Friendster’s patent pending social network database technology as well as the development of other key infrastructural components of our service.

Responsibilities:


•Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, and designers to define goals, and requirements, strategies, for the Friendster web application
•Set and define priorities, build and globally deploy new features on the site.
•Measure, analyze, and optimize the results for site features.
•Write design specifications and communicate designs to the team at large.
•Work closely with the Development team on feature definition and QA team to correct product defects and assist QA engineers in the testing.
•Work closely with Operations team to ensure successful deployment of releases.
•Assist the Support and Sales teams with the investigation and resolution of customer issues
•Implement best Product Management practices to make Friendster best in class Product Management organization

Requirements:

•B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, Masters Degree preferred.
•5 plus years of product management experience leading website and/or web development efforts
•Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance consumer needs with business priorities, retain focus on key goals, and articulate the rationale behind decisions
•Ability to drive both the tactical rollout and strategically vision of a product
•Strong time-management and independent-judgment skills required
•Ability to lead people and teams across multiple functional areas and regions
•Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
•Must be enthusiastic and work well with others
