Shortly after the success of this event JobStreet.com then partnered with Smart Communications, Inc. and Samsung Electronics, to launch the country’s first speed-hiring resume party – The Career Blast Speed Connection! Speed Selection! This breakthrough event was held at Le Pavillon tent in Metropolitan Park located along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City last August 11, 2007.

The main highlight of the event was the speed interview wherein jobseekers were given ten minutes to pitch themselves to potential employers in the call center or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry for a chance to be hired on the spot. Jobseekers who impressed the participating employers with their conversational skills, intelligence and personality were given special color-coded stubs to signify their on-the-spot hiring.

The top 4 BPOs which participated in this milestone event was VXI Global Solutions, Inc., IBM Daksh Business Process Services Philippines Inc., APAC Customers Services, Inc., and eTelecare Global Solutions. All in all, the BPOs qualified a total of 70 jobseekers that night!

Living up with the theme of resume party, it was a night of partying and excitement where Samsung phones were given away to lucky jobseekers. The evening highlights live musical entertainment from today’s top bands such as Sandwich, SinoSikat? and Chillitees. Latest Samsung phones were also showcased in a fashion show. The event was hosted by popular comedian Epy Quizon and Dylan of JackTV’s The Peepshow.
